Native Nursery Volunteer
Selmes Garden Charitable Trust & Trees for Marlborough
With the help of our amazing, diverse volunteers we have collected seeds and potted up thousands of native seedlings.
Role Overview:
Help give these little trees their final "check-up" before heading out to restoration projects across the Marlborough region. This focused role is perfect for those who love being outdoors, like getting their hands dirty and want a steady, low-impact way to contribute to the environment.
Requirements:
• Medium fitness – weeding small potting containers at standing height
• Basic weeding skills are helpful but not required (training is provided)
• A supportive attitude toward people of all abilities
What We Provide:
• A welcoming, inclusive community environment
• Training, tools and basic safety gear (bring your own sturdy footwear)
• Morning and afternoon tea
• The opportunity to attend our Planting Days to see your hard work through to fruition
Hours: 2-4 hours a week
Anytime from Tuesday-Friday, 9:00am–4:00pm
