Work as part of a two-person team on the counter at The Blue Door, being primarily responsible for sales and customer service. Supported by other staff when necessary.
Duties include: operating the till and eftpos, customer service, putting items on hold, retrieving held items, restocking plastic bags and newspaper sheets as needed, occasional cleaning, and assisting with stocking the shop with goods when time permits.
Volunteering at The Blue Door is a great way to gain experience, meet new people, and learn new skills.
Full induction and training will be provided.
Friendly, punctual and reliable, cash handling skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.
Experience working in retail/customer service is not necessary but will be an advantage.
A criminal record check is required.
A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
3.5 to 5 hours per week,
Morning shift: 9am to 12.30pm
Afternoon shift: 12.30 to 4.30pm
