**WanderSearch* devices help individuals who are at risk of getting lost or going missing due to dementia, neurodivergence, or disabilities. These devices are small, radio frequency-emitting devices worn by people who are at risk of going missing. If the person wearing the device goes missing, trained Land Search and Rescue Volunteers and the Police can listen for its signal, aiding in the location of the individual. Volunteers play a crucial role in supporting the WanderSearch programme. Role Overview & Responsibilities: Deliver and pick up small radio frequency-emitting devices for clients at risk of going missing. Ensure six-monthly swaps of devices are carried out. Commitment:* Regional volunteers will be assigned tasks in an agreed geographical area. Volunteers will be rostered according to availability and demand. All roles are within day and early evening hours; no overnight requirements. Full training provided. The intention is to share roles between different people to allow for cover. Join them in making a difference in your local community. Enquire below and become a Client Liaison Volunteer and support those in need.
