IHC is looking for a friendly, down-to-earth online volunteer to connect with a creative individual in our community. This person is passionate about writing, illustration, gaming and storytelling — and they’re hoping to find a genuine mate to hang out with online. If you enjoy relaxed chats, gaming, and sharing stories, this could be the perfect fit.

What you might do online:
• Build a meaningful connection through regular video catchups
• Talk about creative arts, storytelling, and illustration
• Play games, share interests, and enjoy casual online banter

No special skills needed — just a device, a bit of time, and your authentic self. Whether you're into consoles, casual chats, or delving into the world of fantasy, we’d love to hear from you.

Requirements:

Volunteers must own or have access to a digital device and have basic skills in using digital platforms.
Good communication - support and training will be provided.
Be able to commit to 4 hours per month or more.
Applicants 17 years old and over are welcome to apply.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

To begin with, you will spend 2-4 hrs over the course of a 2 weeks to complete your initial training and orientation, delivered online.
Once you have connected with your friend, you can decide amongst yourselves what hours work best, and this may vary with each match.
It is recommended that you spend at least 4 hours per month together, but understand that there is flexibility with this.
