IHC will advocate for the rights, inclusion and welfare of all people with an intellectual disability and support them to lead satisfying lives in the community. IHC is New Zealand’s leading provider of services for people with intellectual disabilities. Our Mission is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to supporting people with intellectual disabilities to lead satisfying lives in the community and to providing housing and tenancy services to people in need. Our services include residential care, supported living, specialist support, vocational support and social housing. We also lobby and advocate for the human rights of all people with intellectual disabilities at community, national and international levels. We raise money and awareness of the issues facing people with intellectual disabilities through our charitable activities, our advocacy programme, social media and other communication channels. Our charity work includes providing advocacy, information through Australasia’s largest intellectual disability library and friendship and skill-based volunteering.
