We are looking for kind-hearted individuals who would like to accompany Ashwood Park residents on walks around the facility and gardens (and sometimes a stroll through Pollard Park or another scenic location).
Either walk alongside individuals or small groups of seniors.
Walks can vary in length; from just around the garden to around the block. Some residents may prefer to be pushed in a wheelchair.
A full induction will be provided for all volunteers.
You don't need any special skills for this role; just a friendly personality!
Volunteer walking companions should be able to walk unassisted themselves, with decent balance.
Volunteers should be aged 16 or older.
Flexible timing; no need to be same time or day each week.
Choose how long and how often you volunteer for!
