We are always looking for new and dedicated volunteers, it all makes a difference. If you are over the age of 16, have any spare time each week, and would like to help a good cause - we’d love to hear from you.

Some of the tasks involved include:
• Receiving, cleaning and merchandising donated goods
• General housekeeping duties
• Customer service

• Spruce up your CV with volunteer work
• Give you a friendly work environment to hone your skills for that great job you are looking for

Times and days available:
Both full and half-day shifts are available.

• Monday - Sunday

Volunteers must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

SPCA is New Zealand’s oldest and largest animal welfare charity, with over 70 Op Shops across the country. When you shop, donate to or volunteer with our SPCA Op Shops, not only are you supporting sustainability and second-hand goods, but your help in our shops is for a good cause. All money raised contributes towards helping abandoned, abused and neglected animals in need.

Requirements:

Be able to work on your own or as part of a team. Be methodical and work in a neat and tidy manner. Good communication skills. Have a good attitude towards others.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

One shift per week - shifts available Monday - Sunday, morning/afternoon
