Join our small but passionate team at the Kārearea Falcon Trust to help with gardening, lawn mowing, and general property maintenance tasks.
We have a 900m2 conservation facility called "Booker Aviary" located 10minutes from Renwick/Woodbourne with native plantings, hedges, and lawns that need weekly attention to help keep tidy and beautiful. Inside the aviary building itself we have plant pots that need some love and pathways to keep maintained and swept.
In addition to the Booker Aviary, there is also the "Falcon Walkway" located on the hill at the Brancott Estate Heritage Vineyard Site. The Falcon Walkway needs weekly weeding/mowing/maintenance during the warmer months, and only needs monthly care in the cooler months when we don't often use the site. The Falcon Walkway can be steep in places so would require a good level of fitness and someone comfortable working on a slope.
We are looking to create a gardening team with multiple volunteers - so if you love to prune and weed, but don't like mowing lawns, please still apply as we can adapt the tasks to suit your interests and abilities! Thank you.
