If you enjoy long walks in native bush then this role is perfect for you. We rely on a large team of volunteers to check the rat, stoat and possum traps placed out on the town's reserves every weekend. If you can do one weekend day a month or one a week we would love to hear from you. Induction and training is given and you will become part of a very passionate group of volunteers working towards restoring our dawn chorus and making Picton and NZ predator free.

Requirements:

We have trap lines to suit all abilities so you can choose something that fits within your capabilities. You must be comfortable with handling catches and resetting traps.

There is no age limit on this role. We welcome anyone of all ages.

Time commitment:

Just a couple of hours on weekends. We compile a monthly roster so you can choose when you offer your time.
