Treasurer

Maternal Mental Wellbeing Marlborough (MMWM) is a charitable trust dedicated to supporting mothers as they navigate the challenges of pregnancy and early parenting. We provide a safe space for connection, encouragement, and mental health support to help mums thrive.
We are currently seeking a Treasurer to join our rewarding and supportive board.
Responsibilities and duties:
• Prepare a budget and monitor it carefully.
• Keep a proper record of all payments and monies received.
• Make sure financial reports are available and understood at all board meetings.
• Show evidence that money received is banked and documentation provided for all money paid out.
• Attend monthly board meetings and give the Treasurer’s report when required.
• Produce an annual financial report.
• Send out accounts.
• Pay the bills.

Requirements:

Knowledge and skills required:
• Has experience from an accounting and finance perspective.
• Is well organised.
• Can allocate regular time periods to maintain the books.
• Keeps good records.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Monthly Board meeting on Thursday from 6pm (usually 1-2 hours).

We would like the new Treasurer to complete an updated budget for MMWM, so that may take 2-3 hours.

Outside of that the ongoing commitment is likely 4 hours a month.
