As a volunteer you will help us with the following tasks:
~Welcoming and thanking the donor.
~Offering to make the donor a drink (tea, coffee, milo or a cold drink).
~Inviting the donor to help themselves to light refreshments.
~Talking to the donor and making them feel comfortable and relaxed.
~Offering them a newspaper or a magazine to read.
~Observing donors while in the refreshment area and immediately notifying a staff member if a
donor looks or feels unwell or has an adverse reaction.
~Referring all donors with medical questions to nursing staff.

NZ Blood Service will be in Blenheim for a 3-day blood collection event at the Lansdowne Hub from the 28th to the 30th of January, we require volunteer looking after our donors on the following times:
• Tuesday, 28th January: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
• Wednesday, 29th January: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
• Thursday, 30th January: 7:30 am – 1:00 pm
We are aiming to find two volunteers for each day, with the option to split shifts or assisting us during the full shift.
