Salsa Groove Marlborough
A non-profit group providing dance classes, parties, and events, with all proceeds going back into our group to fund admin costs, dance teacher training, host workshops, festivals, and other events. Salsa Groove Marlborough was born from a passion for Latin Dance, particularly Salsa. It is the passion of Annie Giles the ‘Angel’ of Salsa who taught classes in Marlborough for over 20 years, and since then couple Gary and Karen Knofflock have taken over the teaching with classes in Blenheim. Like Annie, they wanted to create an awesome club for like-minded individuals who wanted to learn to dance, keep fit, have fun and make friends. Salsa Groove continues to grow and thrive, it’s Blenheim classes are held at the Harlequins Rugby Clubrooms at Lansdowne Park, to be part of the wider community and close to town. With beginner lessons reaching upwards of 20-30 people, it has grown into an awesome club full of wonderful people. All ages welcome! Our students range from late teens to the more mature age group.
