Blenheim Volunteer Fire Brigade was established in 1870, and is responsible for a large residential zone, a CBD with mostly light industry, Blenheim’s rural community and NZ\'s largest wine industry. Several major winery complexes are located within the area and are covered by the Brigade. We rely on volunteers in our 600 plus stations nationwide, to help communities prevent, prepare, respond and recover from emergencies. As well as firefighting, our volunteers attend medical incidents, motor vehicle accidents, severe weather events and other requests for help. We also install and check smoke alarms and help to improve fire safety in our communities. If you’re a team player, would like to learn new skills and make your community safer, we would love to hear from you.
