The annual Westpac Chopper Appeal raises awareness and funds for the charitable trusts that provide rescue helicopter services to New Zealand. One hundred percent of funds raised from the annual appeal go to these charities and it stays local, so your contribution supports your community. The funds raised enable our rescue helicopters to continue helping people in emergency situations, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Westpac has been a proud sponsor of the rescue helicopter services for over 35 years, as: The principal sponsor of the Auckland, Waikato, Wellington and Canterbury rescue helicopter services; An associate sponsor of the West Coast, Tauranga, Taupo and Palmerston North rescue helicopter trusts; A provider of support and funding to promote and manage the annual Westpac Chopper Appeal, which supports all rescue helicopters in New Zealand.
