National Volunteer Week Volunteer - Sarah

For National Volunteer Week | Te Wiki Tūao ā-Motu 2022, our team decided to award volunteer awards to a few people to thank them for the fantastic work that they're doing in the Marlborough community. Next up....Sarah McAllister.

Here's what Jo Lane, Manager of Marlborough Youth Trust, had to say about Sarah:

How has Sarah impacted your organisation?

Sarah helps and supports the wellbeing of youth through her role at Marlborough Youth Trust.

How many hours on average has Sarah volunteer with your organisation?

At least 100 hours in the last year alone....she is always willing to put her hand up.

Why do you think Sarah's story would inspire others?

Sarah is very passionate about her knowledge of health. wellbeing and healthy eating and sharing that with the youth that come through Marlborough Youth Trust.

What is the main reason that you have nominated Sarah?

Sarah has been an amazing CACTUS coordinator and she goes above and beyond for youth during the programme as well as for the youth within MySpace. She offers her time for pastoral care. support and care for youth on an ongoing basis. She also helps with our climbing wall days. mental health awareness conversations with smaller youth groups, and provides mindfulness and other support over a cup of tea at MySpace. Sarah is incredibly active in supporting youth in Marlborough and we are very grateful for her!
