MoVERS = Managers of Volunteers - Education, Resources, Support ... so if you're a manager / leader / coordinator of volunteers, you're invited to join us and your peers for these lunch time sessions.
Our March session will focus on engaging volunteers with police records.
Whether they come to your organisation directly or through Volunteer Marlborough by way of MSD, WorkBridge, and others, there are an increasing number of individuals (and groups) in Marlborough who are looking to volunteer.
This may be because they have mandated community work sentences to get started on, or maybe they're looking to get back into work or just get back into the community.
We know that this can sometimes be a daunting prospect for some organisations and we get it! BUT...we firmly believe that everyone deserves a chance so we'd like to invite you along to talk things over, and hear from our guest speaker about what kind of support is there for organisations considering engaging with those with records. And...there are benefits for your organisation too!
Our guest speaker will be Bruce Campbell from Ara Poutama Aotearoa | Department of Corrections.
There will be time for networking and general chat before we end the session.
