MoVERS is open to anyone in a role involving the management, leadership, or coordination of volunteers in the Marlborough region.
At this month's MoVERS (Managers of Volunteers - Education, Resources, Sharing/Support) event...
The Marlborough region is home to people from all over the globe. Our own General Manager, Meg, hails from Canada; our Communications Coordinator, Jyn, from the UK. In addition to the many Australians, South Africans, Germans, French, Dutch, American, British, Brazilian, Desi, Eastern European migrants (...and so many more), in recent years Marlborough has also welcomed families from Colombia and Myanmar as part of the former refugee resettlement programme. Our community is now a delicious melting pot of cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds, each offering different skills, experiences, passions and worldviews.
Many of the newcomers to our community are looking for ways to connect with others and learn more about their new home, and volunteering is just one of the paths which can assist with this....but it isn't always easy to know how best to connect with, engage, and support our new friends.
This month we invite you to come along and take part in a round table discussion with:
This networking and learning event will take place in person and will be held in the meeting room of the Marlborough Community Centre building at 25 Alfred Street. Please feel free to bring your lunch!
