LIFT is a network for anyone who leads, coordinates, or supports volunteers in Marlborough. It is a space to connect, share ideas, strengthen practice, and build capability in volunteer leadership.
The heart of the network remains the same:
Practical learning
Peer support
Guest speakers
Shared problem solving
Strengthening volunteer-led organisations
Our May session will focus on engaging volunteers with extra support needs. From various health conditions to physical or intellectual disabilities, or those for whom English is a second language and are new to the community, there are many people who want to volunteer but may need a bit of extra support.
Let's have a chat about making opportunities accessible to all and what kind of supports are out there to help when you have someone interested but don't know how to proceed.
Our guest speaker will be Katie Ramsay-Davies from WorkBridge, and someone from Red Cross / Multicultural Centre.
There will be time for networking and general chat before we end the session.
