Harakeke - Signposter / Hub Host Training

27 Feb 2024 - 10:00am to 12:00pm

Harakeke - Signposter / Hub Host Training

Harakeke Hubs are a welcome place to foster meaningful connections,. Those who come along may be looking to gain some social interaction and combat loneliness, have some friendly conversation, be supported to access and use the Marlborough Community Directory to find local services, groups, and organisations...or more!

Each Hub will be hosted by at least one trained, community-minded volunteer Hub Host. The Hubs will take place in venues such as libraries, cafes, community rooms, youth centres, etc.

Alternatively, act as a Community Signposter. We need people out in the community to direct people to the Hubs, and hand out information about the Hubs and the Marlborough Community Directory. Whether you're at the supermarket, at work, out for a walk, or with family & friends....have some cards on you and help spread the word.

Can YOU help to empower the people of Marlborough to:

  • make meaningful connections?
  • access the Marlborough CAB Directory?
  • gain support in accessing
    • local services
    • community groups
    • health care
    • support services

  • why is it needed?
