Governance Bytes 8 - Rules of Engagement

Governance Bytes are a series of workshops where we take a deep dive into topics relevant for those who are on a board or wish to be on a board of a community or not-for-profit organisation. On these live, online workshops with not-for-profit governance experts from LEAD: Centre for Not-for-Profit Governance & Leadership, you will learn with and from others on boards, ask relevant questions, and apply what you are learning in the real world of your not-for-profit organisation.

This month we present the eighth in our series of Governance Bytes: Rules of Engagement

In this workshop we will focus on the 3 Ps - Policies, Procedures, and Plans. What exactly are policies and why are they important to your organisation?

You will learn:

The importance of policies
Why have them?
What should they contain?
How should they be developed?
Policies vs procedures vs plans

This workshop will take place via Zoom (link will be sent out closer to the event). Enrolled participants may substitute another member of their organisation if they can't attend.

This month's workshop will be facilitated by Garth Nowland-Foreman.
