Governance Bytes 6 - Including Everyone

Governance Bytes are a series of workshops where we take a deep dive into topics relevant for those who are on a board or wish to be on a board of a community or not-for-profit organisation. On these live, online workshops with not-for-profit governance experts from LEAD: Centre for Not-for-Profit Governance & Leadership, you will learn with and from others on boards, ask relevant questions, and apply what you are learning in the real world of your not-for-profit organisation.

This month we present the sixth in our series of Governance Bytes: Including Everyone

"When we're talking about diversity, it's not a box to check. It is a reality that should be deeply felt and held and valued by all of us" ~ Ava DuVernay

This month we will look at the importance of building diversity and inclusion on boards and offer you tools and processes for creating and keeping a board inclusive.

You will learn about:

  • Good governance through multiple worldviews and experiences
  • Community engagement and diversity
  • Creating the right environment on the board

This workshop will take place via Zoom (link will be sent out closer to the event). Enrolled participants may substitute another member of their organisation if they can't attend.

This month's workshop will be facilitated by Sandy Thompson.
