Governance Bytes 2 - Painting the Big Picture

Governance Bytes are a series of workshops where we take a deep dive into topics relevant for those who are on a board or wish to be on a board of a community or not-for-profit organisation. On these live, online workshops with not-for-profit governance experts from LEAD: Centre for Not-for-Profit Governance & Leadership, you will learn with and from others on boards, ask relevant questions, and apply what you are learning in the real world of your not-for-profit organisation.

This month we present the second in our series of Governance Bytes: Painting the Big Picture - Strategy in the real world

Blue sky thinking is crucial to governance. A board's role is to create a strategic vision for its organisation and stay focused on it. In this workshop you learn about what strategy looks like in the real world:

Strategy vs planning
Thinking strategically
Making a difference by leading with strategy

This workshop will take place via Zoom (link will be sent out closer to event). Enrolled participants may substitute another member of their organisation if they can't attend.

This month's workshop will be facilitated by Garth Nowland-Foreman.
