Hospice Reception & Administration Volunteers

To support the administration team at Hospice.
To provide reception duties such as meet and greet hospice visitors.
Answer phone calls and transfer them, as appropriate.
Action queries and enquiries at the reception desk.
Additional administration work for other hospice staff, as required.

Requirements:

Ability to answer phone calls in a professional manner. Call management skills. Have an empathetic approach. Effective listening skills.
Comfortable being and working in situations where there is a high level of emotion being expressed. Life experience which ensures that you are can relate to a wide range of people who at the time are experiencing significant personal loss and grief. Ability to be discreet and diplomatic when dealing with confidential and sensitive issues. Friendly and approachable.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Vacant shifts:
• Mondays 10.00am-12.30pm
• Mondays 12.30pm-3.00pm
• Thursday 12.00pm-1.30pm
• Friday 12.00pm-1.30pm
