Board Members

An exciting volunteer opportunity is available to join the Creative Kids Trust Board of Directors. We are seeking enthusiastic, community minded people to contribute to the values and success of Creative Kids Trust, a New Zealand registered charity. At Creative Kids we work with children and young people with a variety of needs and support them and the wider community to grow and develop through creative arts pathways.

Our trust has experienced extensive growth and substantial changes, moving from a start-up to a sustainable charity that continues to support our community and we require new board members to implement strategic direction, and ensure good stakeholder relations. The financial position of the Trust is solid and careful attention is given to ensure funding streams and expenses are appropriately balanced.

As a board member, you will assist in the strategic development of the Creative Kids Charitable Trust, including (but not limited to): overseeing policy development; support for the operations team; helping implement the direction of the organisation; and ensuring that the services offered are (a) compatible with the vision and mission and objectives of Creative Kids Trust, and (b) that these are responsive and relevant to the needs of the wider community.

Requirements:

If you are one or more of the following we’d like to talk to you: proficient in non-profit management, creative artist wanting to engage with the community, a community leader with a passion for networking or fundraising, an astute governmental advocate, a leader within education, criminal justice, mental health and child & youth services, communications or marketing extraordinaire or an experienced business manager

Actively participate in fundraising activities and networking opportunities to further Creative Kids Trust reach into the community.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Monthly Board meetings plus any additional projects/requirements as needed
