Grant Writer

The Wairau Valley Memorial Hall committee have a great opportunity for someone to be part of a community project by applying for funding grants for future projects. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is new to the Wairau Valley or an existing local who is wanting to get more involved in the community.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has some experience in fundraising, coordinating, or similar experience in the non-profit sector.

You don't need to be a Wairau Valley resident to fill this role; people from anywhere in Marlborough are invited to apply. The vast majority of this role can be done from home.

How will your contribution as Grant Writer help the Wairau Valley Peace Memorial Hall (and community)? Your work will help secure funding so that the Board can proceed with their plans to improve the historic community hall with a couple of significant projects (commercial kitchen, new roof, children's playground).

Requirements:

Experience in fundraising, coordinating, or similar experience in the non-profit sector will be a great advantage.
This role is suitable for people aged 18+

You will need access to a computer and the internet.

Time commitment:

This role is a flexible one; as long as you submit the application by the deadline, you can fit the work in around your job, whānau, and your social life.
The Board will help you establish which deadlines are relevant.
