Attend monthly board meetings for Selmes Garden Trust as the Secretary, taking meeting minutes (notes). The scretary then sends out the minutes after the meeting to all board members, and compiles the agenda for the next meeting. This is expected to take 1 - 2 hours per month.

Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of every month, at 4pm. Duties outside of the meeting can be completed from home, with flexible timing.
YOU CHOOSE whether you would like to join the Board of Trustees as an official Secretary (this gives you strategic and financial responsibilities) or help out as a Minutes Secretary (admin tasks as listed above only).

Volunteers interested in joining the board will need to be aged 18 or older.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with previous secretarial and minute-taking experience.
Experience serving on a board or committee is not necessary but will be an advantage.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
