Truck Driver's Assistant (Donations Collector)

Assist the truck driver to collect donated goods from members of the community, and transport them back to the Salvation Army Family Store.
Ideally, a volunteer will commit to a minimum of one shift per week. Shifts are three hours.
This role will involve a certain amount of heavy lifting. Volunteers will need to be reasonably fit.
This volunteer role is based in Blenheim.
Volunteers aged 13 and over are welcome to apply. If volunteers are under 18, they will need to have written parental permission
A criminal record check will be required.

Requirements:

Good people skills, time management, and be physically fit.

🟡 Volunteers are not required to be vaccinated for this role.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Tuesday 9am - 12pm
Thursday 9am -12pm
Friday 9am - 12pm

If you can't do all three days the Salvation Army are happy for you to volunteer your time on any of these mornings.
