The Salvation Army Family Store recently are looking to add a few more helpers to their fabulous team! As volunteer counter staff, you will be paired up with another volunteer to greet customers, process sales (includes eftpos & cash handling), answer customer inquiries, and do some occasional tidying around the main shop area.
Duties include: tidying and cleaning shop, sorting donations, customer service, and processing sales (this includes operating a basic till/POS system and an EFTPOS machine). Don't worry if you don't know how to do all of that already; the manager and fabulous team of volunteers will teach you all you need to know!
Full training, including a Health and Safety Induction will be given
Benefits: Volunteering at the Family Store is a great way to gain work experience, meet new people, and learn new life skills! All volunteers receive a 50% discount on clothing.
The most important thing we need in our volunteers is friendliness and reliability. We also look for volunteers who are self-motivating, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Experience in retail or customer service is not necessary but will be an advantage.
