In this role, volunteers are part of a team that supports and visit our member not-for-profit member organisations all over Marlborough. These visits help us to better understand the current and future needs for volunteers and support. Membership Support Programme (MSP) team members engage in constructive discussions, build rapport, and help create a plan to meet the organisation's needs. This is all about building supportive relationships with organisations, big and small, to do the work that makes our world a better place!
Each team member is assigned a number of organisations. They are then responsible for ongoing contact and support, working closely with Volunteer Marlborough staff. Team members report back via our online platform after any contact to ensure all relevant staff and volunteers are informed as needed and attend quarterly meetings. This ensures that organisational priorities are achieved and allow for collaborative discussion and feedback. The team is led by a designated member of the support team and a staff member.
Orientation to Volunteer Marlborough and training in how to use our online systems and processes will take place after appointment to the team. You will shadow other experienced MSP team members or be accompanied by another team member for your first few organisation visits. You will attend at least one in-person interview prior to successful appointment if you are shortlisted. References will be required.
Training and orientation provided.
