Interviewer

Volunteers at the Citizens Advice Bureau are the first point of contact for people looking for information.
Volunteers will meet people in the office, help them find information, and refer them on to another service if needed.
In less busy times, volunteers also assist in the general running of the office by helping with admin duties.
Citizens Advice Bureau in Blenheim is open every weekday between 9:30am and 4pm so volunteers will need to be available during these times. YOU CHOOSE between morning or afternoon shifts.
Full training is given; the initial training is two hours per week for six weeks (next course dates TBC) and additional trainings are held monthly.
Volunteers will need to have good communication skills; especially the ability to listen.

Volunteers of any age are welcome to apply; what matters is that you are friendly, mature, and reliable.
A criminal record check may be required.

As a volunteer with Citizens Advice, you will be joining a fabulous team of friendly people from many different backgrounds and professions. You will learn skills and information that will be valuable not only to CAB clients, but also to you and your whanau.
