MoVERS Network - Welcoming Volunteers with Police Records

MoVERS Network - Welcoming Volunteers with Police Records

We welcome all leaders of volunteers to join us for our September MoVERS (Managers of Volunteers - Education, Resources, Support) Networking session.

This month we will be focusing some time on how we can welcome those with police records, within the bounds of our organisations.

We will welcome staff from Te Pae Oranga, an organisation dedicated to working with people who have underlying issues and need help to get their lives back on track. This includes helping them overcome problems like addiction, abuse, financial stress and difficulties getting employment or education.

It can be daunting, at times, to have people with police records approach your organisation offering to volunteers - but it doesn't have to be! Come along and have a chat with the team from Te Pae Oranga and Volunteer Marlborough about the support available to your organisation as well as to these potential volunteers.

This is a great opportunity to learn, share, and network with others who are passionate about volunteers and making things more accessible for all. There will be time for general networking and sharing of any questions, issues, concerns etc in the final part of the session.

Location: Meeting room - Blenheim Library
Time: 12pm - 1:30pm

Please feel free to bring your lunch along!
