Governance Bytes are a series of workshops where we take a deep dive into topics relevant for those who are on a board or wish to be on a board of a community or not-for-profit organisation. On these live, online workshops with not-for-profit governance experts from LEAD: Centre for Not-for-Profit Governance & Leadership, you will learn with and from others on boards, ask relevant questions, and apply what you are learning in the real world of your not-for-profit organisation.
The first in our 10 part series of Governance Bytes for 2023, we welcome you to Governance 101 - Governance in Not-for-Profit Organisations.
This is a 3-hour daytime workshop to start the series and will increase your understanding of not-for-profit governance, clarify the roles and tasks of the Board, and promote team work in the board room.

This workshop will take place via Zoom (link to be sent out closer to event). Enrolled participants may substitute another member of their organisation if they can't attend.
This month's workshop will be facilitated by Aly McNicoll.
All subsequent workshops will take place monthly, in the evenings frm 6:15pm to 7:45pm via Zoom.
