Who we are

Volunteer Marlborough is an independent Volunteer Centre  committed to promoting volunteerism and to assisting the residents of Marlborough to find opportunities to become involved as volunteers. We work within the community to strengthen the sector by advocacy, support and training.

Our organisation  began as a satellite office of Volunteer Nelson in 2003 and, in 2007, became  a registered Charitable Trust with its own Board of Trustees. In 2009 we moved our office to our current location at Marlborough House where we have access to meeting rooms and share resources with 3 other Not for Profit Organisations - Literacy Marlborough, English Language Partners, and the Marlborough Migrant Centre.

We are guided in our activities in the community by the following:

Our Vision Statement:

Enriched lives and Communities through volunteering in Marlborough

Our Mission Statement:

Our Values:

Volunteer Marlborough is a community Resource that helps individuals and organisations gain satisfaction and skills through education, encouragement, support, promotion and acknowledgment of volunteering as a valued community service.
